We think you deserve to show off your best work to site visitors! Please review the two options for submitting your exhibition details and the section on 'Images'. Download a pdf of Submissions for Our Artist's Exhibitions.

Images

General: Images of art work should be in focus and show only the work itself. If your image contains part of the wall or the room, please re-photograph so only the work shows. Please use an angle that minimizes distortion. If you are using a flash and the flash is reflected on the work, try taking a photo in natural light with no flash. If the weather is dry, photographing work on days where there is a high cloud provides good light.

Images taken on your phone: Please send the largest version of the image possible.

Dimensions:  Images used in the exhibition posts should be 600px on the longest side. We’ll be in touch if your image is too small.

File name: Please name your files as shown below. This is very helpful in managing the hundreds of images.

lastnamefirstintial_image#_title.jpg (all lower case)

jonesg_1_blueballoons.jpg

File type: Preferred file types are JPG, TIF/TIFF, PDF or PNG.

File size: If you are familiar with optimizing images for use on websites, please make the file size between 90 – 180k. Otherwise, please send the files you have.

DPI: Dots per inch. This doesn’t matter. What is important is the image Dimensions and File size.

Image captions: For art work, include the title of the work, dimensions and media. For other images, please provide a caption.

Image credits: If applicable, include the name of the photographer.

Copyright: We ask that you have the rights to use a photograph, or have secured permission, should that be the situation.
