Jackie Conradi-Robertson
I am an artist who is mainly interested in colours and patterns found in landscapes. Olive trees, rows of sunflowers and hazelnut trees catch my attention. I am also attracted by the brilliant colours of fruit and the textures of fabric and pottery that frequently appear in my still life acrylics.
I began studying drawing at Ecole de Beaux Arts in Montreal and completed a double art major in Ceramics and Painting at the University of British Columbia as part of a B.Ed. Presently I enjoy travelling to France and Italy where I paint small canvasses, for example: 9″×12″. At home, I work on these images and may paint larger versions, up to 30”x40". I enjoy the balance of teaching kindergarten and also painting in acrylics and studying languages.
