During this past year, as a painter, I have continued to explore the idea of capturing what I see in the world around me. I have also started to work from my imagination, as I feel this is both intimidating and liberating, and strikes a balance with my representational work. I am currently working in oils but will take up encaustics in winter again.

I have a new studio/store front on the west side and look forward to interacting with my community more. This last year I was accepted into The Federation of Canadian Artists, and my work was in the Summer Show at the Omega Gallery. I also participated in Arts Umbrella’s Splash Art Auction as well as the Big Sister Diva’s Gala.
