Rob Will
I was raised on the Canadian Prairies, where I became fascinated by the subtle forms and nuances of the prairie landscape – the twist of a branch, the pattern of erosion on a rock wall, and the movements of the wind over grain. This appreciation of form and detail has led me to an increasingly abstract vision and photographic style.
I am also fascinated by the dynamics of Darkness and Light. Darkness gives meaning to Light, and Light brings focus to Darkness. The tension that lives in the spaces between Darkness and Light is a reoccurring theme in my work.
I believe that every photo tells a story, and I strive for a strong sense of narrative in my images with an emphasis on atmosphere and mystery.
