ABOUT debra
I start my day with a meditative walk with my husky Luna in Pacific Spirit Park. I am inspired by nature and beauty. When I slow down enough to focus I see things with a magnified sense of awe and wonder. This is what I try and recreate in a painting—the essence of the subject. I have mentored under Dene Croft for many years and have done some formal courses abroad in Italy. As an artist I hope that my creations bring joy and beauty to the eyes of the viewer. In addition having I have studied as a mystic, believing that the true essence of life is basic human kindness. My children’s books are inspired by these beliefs.
