Joanne Brown
ABOUT Joanne
I look forward to participating in the West Side Art Walk again. I enjoy sharing my work as it evolves and changes in direction. I am a printmaker and my prints are mostly: woodblock, linocut, and monotype prints. I print on paper and also fabric. My work is inspired by nature, music, and story. I love exploring and combining processes, techniques, and materials and discovering new pathways. I have long been both artist and teacher. I have taught young children, youth and adults. I have a BFA from Emily Carr School of Art and a B.Ed and M.Ed from UBC in Early Childhood Education. I am a volunteer gallery attendant at Dundarave Print Workshop and Gallery and am happy to show my work there. I am active in Artists in Our Midst, Avenue for the Arts (AVA), and the Vancouver Art Guild. I divide my time between making art and sharing art in the community
