ABOUT peggie
I have recently taken the plunge from acrylic to oil paint. I work with a limited palette from the many photos I take on my travels. I continue to develop my plein air skills, combining my love of the out of doors with paint and canvas. I feel blessed to share my stories of beauty and discovery through my brush. Although nature and the outdoor world provide me with endless inspiration, I also enjoy the challenge of different subject matter. I have painted shoes, old cars and the occasional building. My artistic journey is deeply rooted in family. Supported by the memory of my mother’s unwavering encouragement and my grandmother’s unique artistic flair, I weave a narrative into my art that is my own vision while also paying homage to an enduring family influence. Collaboration is a hallmark of my approach as I actively engage with fellow artists and businesses both local and farther afield through workshops, events and mentorship groups. To reach everyone that loves and appreciates art I have my own gallery open to the public in Penticton, BC. I have originals and prints at the Penticton Art Gallery as well as at other retail outlets across the province and I sell at the Penticton Farmer’s Market every Saturday throughout the summer months!
